Dekra EN 16258 Certification for our calculation method of our energy consumption
GLS received the Dekra EN 16258:2012 Certification for its method of calculation and declaration of its energy consumption and GHG emissions for transport services. The conformity was adduced with audit report no. A-21011499.

Environmental management: GLS Certified to ISO 9001
Comprehensive assurance of quality includes well-defined work processes, quality guidelines with inspection routines and regular audits.
GLS has established and maintains a quality management system that meets high, internationally recognized standards according to DIN ISO 9001:2015.
Environmental management: GLS Certified to ISO 14001
GLS operates in an environmentally friendly manner and puts sustainability projects into practice at all national subsidiaries. GLS has gained ISO 14001:2015 certification for its environmental management system in all European countries. This globally valid and recognised standard is one of the most important environmental management benchmarks for manufacturing companies and service providers alike.
EcoVadis Bronze Medal
GLS Group received the EcoVadis Bronze Medal ** in 2025 with 70 points, ranking in the top 16% of companies assessed globally.

Code of Business Standards
The Code of Business Standards forms the basis of all business activities of GLS. Furthermore it shows the obligation of GLS towards its stakeholders.
Supplier Code of Conduct
GLS expects its suppliers to respect the standards laid out in this Supplier Code of Conduct, implement them using appropriate measures and adhere to them in their business activities.
Modern Slavery Act Statement
GLS is a subsidiary of IDS. As a UK company, IDS is subject to the requirements of the UK Modern Slavery Act.

Whistleblowing / Ombudsman system
We have implemented a whistleblowing/ombudsman system to ensure that employees, business partners and third parties can report any concerns they have about criminal acts and similar serious offences.
On the 19th of December 2022, on the Official Gazette, was published Law no.361/2022, effective from 22nd of December 2022, for transposition into national law of EU Directive 2019/1937, regargding the protection of the persons who report the breaches of law.

Dr. Buchert will not consider complaints which are not of a criminal or similar serious nature. When in doubt, he will advise on how to proceed.
All complaints are confidential. Dr Buchert is required by his statutory lawyers’ confidentiality obligations not to disclose the identity of callers without their explicit consent to do otherwise. He also has the right to refuse to give evidence (including the identity of whistleblowers) if requested by a court of law. Complaints to the ombudsman will only be passed on to GLS once the consent of the complainant has been received.
Any form of retaliation against the whistleblowers is strictly forbidden. Please keep in mind that the law protects you only if the report has been made in good faith. But there can be legal consequences if you know that the report you are submitting is false.
Whistleblowers can choose the internal channels mentioned above or the external ones such as: The National Agency of Integrity or other authorities and public institutions that receive reports of law infringement, depending on their area of expertise.
